START A TEAM

The first item to consider when starting your team is to determine what type of team you would like to create. You have two team types to consider: Corporate Team or Family/Friend Team. While these two types function exactly the same, they are available to you as a way to better define your team’s message and make-up. Below you will find explanations that will better help you to decide which team type best describes you.

Are you a Company Team?

A Company Team is one that is created to represent a particular company, organization or club. Most corporate teams will promote their corporate or organizational presence on event day with branded t-shirts featuring logos and/or taglines associated with the group. This also serves to demonstrate the organizations commitment to the local community and dedication to finding a cure for brain cancer right here in Florida.

Creating a Company Team offers your employees the chance to enjoy a fun, teambuilding activity and to be involved in a community service effort all in one event!

Are you a Family/Friend Team?

While all of our participants play a vital role in helping us reach our goals, the Family/Friend Teams are truly the heart and soul of this event. Most Family/Friend Teams are started in honor or memory of a loved one affected by this disease. This team type allows friends, family and coworkers to come together for a personal cause and make a real difference in the fight against brain cancer and tumors.

Similar to Company Teams, Family/Friend Teams often create customized shirts with photos or messages relating to their personal mission. A Family/Friend Team is truly the best way to bring together those directly or indirectly affected by brain tumors for a day of celebration and hope!

No Matter What Type of Team You Create Remember…

Individuals of all athletic skill levels are welcome to join your team and have the option to participate as runners, walkers, or even virtual walkers. Also be sure to remember that participation is NOT limited by the type of team you create. Family, friends, neighbors and clients should all be encouraged to participate as members of your team.
