Chuck Helsel's Page to support brain cancer research
Welcome to my fundraising page! I’ve committed to raise funds to benefit cutting-edge brain cancer research through ABC2 by rappelling down the side of a building! On December 9, 2018 I will rappel down the Manchester Grand Hyatt, the largest building on the San Diego waterfront. The most exciting part is, all the money raised for this event will be channeled to San Diego-based research projects.
I am dedicated to fight this deadly disease, in memory of my mother in law, Marsha Dunigan, who passed away at a young 63, friends, clients no longer with us and in honor of those are currently challenged with brain cancer.
There are almost 700,000 people living with brain tumors and about 80,000 more will receive a primary brain tumor diagnosis this year. Despite the amount of brain tumors, and their devastating prognosis, there have only been four (4) FDA approved drugs to treat brain tumors in the past 30 years. More research is desperately needed.
Thanks in advance for your support!
My Personal Web Log
34 days till I go over the edge.
34 days to go and I'm getting excited to go Over The Edge. Thanks to my friends, I'm getting closer to my goal of raising more than $2,500 to cure brain cancer.
Thanks, Thanks, Thanks
If your company matches charitable gifts, you can double your donation.

If you can, come and watch me rappel down the Manchester Grand on December 8th.

Thanks for the birthday gifts
In lieu of presents, I asked invitees for my 60th Picnic and Concert Festival to support my fight to brain cancer. I thank my friends for donating over $1,300 for brain cancer research here in San Diego and over $500 to support a family challenged and dealing with brain cancer.
With 200 days left I look forward to continuing to raise more funds and increasing my goal.
I'm very excited about rappeling down the Manchester Grand Hyatt in December but more importantly being part of a group that is making a difference in supporting additional research for Brain Cancer.
Thanks for joining me and come see me rappel down, Chuck
