I'm going over the edge for brain cancer research!
I’ve committed to raise funds to benefit cutting-edge brain cancer research through ABC2 by rappelling down the side of a building on October 27 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Washington DC.
I am dedicated to fight this deadly disease. I am going over the edge in memory of my daughter Caitlin who I lost to a brain tumor when she was 7 years old. Brain tumors are the #1 cancer killer of children. The survivor rate for all malignant brain tumor patients is still only 34.4%.
My daughter Caitlin was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was 4. She was treated in 4 different children's hospitals in 4 states trying to find a cure. She passed away just before her 8th birthday. No child should ever have to battle this horrible disease.
Despite the amount of brain tumors, and their devastating prognosis, there have only been four (4) FDA approved drugs to treat brain tumors in the past 30 years. More research is desperately needed.
Thanks in advance for your support!
