Micah is going OVER THE EDGE for brain cancer
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!
Many of you may know that I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2011. Although it was pretty scary for a ten-year old, I was really lucky. Mine was a relatively benign tumor, and 7 years later, I am healthy and strong. But I know that this is not the case for a lot of people. Last year, I lost my Aunt Joni to brain cancer.
As a result, I’ve committed to raise money for brain cancer research through ABC2 by rappelling 18 stories down the side of a building! Sounds crazy - I know! I'm nervous, but I'm also very excited -- and I am asking for your help.
I am dedicated to fight this deadly disease. There are almost 700,000 people living with brain tumors and about 80,000 more will receive a brain tumor diagnosis this year. Despite the amount of brain tumors, and their devastating prognosis, there have only been four FDA approved drugs to treat brain tumors in the past 30 years. More research is desperately needed.
Please consider making a donation to support brain cancer research -- big or small, every little bit helps! I would be so grateful for your support!
