BethAnn Ironman Cropped

BethAnn Telford’s motto is “Never, never, never give up!” and she never has: In the winter of 2005, BethAnn was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Having run several marathons before her diagnosis, she slowly learned to walk and run again and was able to complete the Marine Corp Marathon six months later. Now, on October 13, 2012, she will compete in the Ironman World Championship in Kona.

The last seven years have seen many ups and downs, many highs and many lows, including two brain surgeries and the completion of two Ironman competitions, several marathons and many Race for Hope 5Ks.

BethAnn is not only extremely dedicated to her training, but to raising awareness about brain cancer as well. She hopes to further increase the visibility of this devastating disease, as well as funding for crucial research, through her participation in the 2012 Kona Ironman World Championship.
