iWalk for Jose

A True Fighter: Jose A. Rosario
We miss you. We love you. We will always remember you.

Its already been 5 years and it feels like it was yesterday.

At the age of 17, our brother Jose, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After two surgeries and a round of radiation, he lived cancer free for ten years. As a result of his multiple surgeries the doctors said he would not be able to work… he did, and he was the most loyal and hardworking Publix employee.

On December 2012, however, he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, a terminal tumor. He went through three more surgeries and a round of chemotherapy, a true fighter. Although he fought bravely until the end, he passed away on April 2, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.

Those of you who knew Jose understand our team name. “iWalk for Jose” represents Jose’s love for all things electronic, especially Apple products.

Every year, in honor of his memory, we walk to help raise funds for a cure. Researchers and doctors are making incredible strides to fight this disease. With your help, we can help others.

Jose was a giving person, he was always eager to help anyone in any way he could. This is our way to give back and continue his legacy. Please join us in our efforts and become a member of our team, click the “Join” link below or the “Join” button on the right side of the page.
