My name is Maria Parker and I am an ultra-distance cyclist who holds the world record for most miles cycled by a woman in 24 hours. I am now planning on doing Race Across America (RAAM), the world's toughest sporting event, according to Outside Magazine.

As tough as RAAM is, racing 3000 miles on a bicycle in 10 days is nothing compared to fighting brain cancer. Inspired by my sister Jenny, who is currently fighting brain cancer and the hundreds of thousands of sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends who are fighting and have fought brain cancer, we hope to raise a million dollars for Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.

Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure has an athlete's attitude aimed at curing brain cancer. They are aggressively seeking out the best, most novel, and most promising research on brain cancer and funding it. Every dollar you donate goes to fund research.

Please donate as little or as much as you are able so that brain cancer can be eradicated.

If 200,000 people give only $5 each, we will have reached our goal!

Thanks so much for all your generosity.
I visited with Jenny yesterday and she is responding well to the chemotherapy and radiation. See the facebook page:
